Chinese Brush Painting / Tattoo Design

Happy (belated) 4th, for those in the US! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!

I was recently approached by a lovely lady from Minnesota for a Chinese brush painting commission. She was looking for a painting as a tattoo design to commemorate the anniversary of the death of her beautiful Boston terrier, Meg.

At first I was unsure, because I had never done a project like this, but decided to take it on as a fun challenge. And it ended up being a whole lot of fun! She was such a sweet customer to work with, with wonderful communication – really just an all-around pleasure.

The finished design is below, and make sure you check out Ike’s Life – the dog blog of her current adorable 6-year-old Boston terrier. Such a fun read, especially for anyone who enjoys animals!
